Buys sensibly, builds evenly, trades for a colour group.

Game length

When the rounds run out, the richest player wins: cash, property and buildings.

A house rule: taxes and fines go into the middle, and whoever lands on Free Parking takes them.

How it plays

  • Everyone starts with $1,500. Roll and move; pass GO for $200. Doubles roll again; three in a row is jail.
  • Land on an unowned property to buy it, or it goes to auction. Land on someone else's and pay rent, doubled if they own the whole colour.
  • Own a whole colour group to build houses, evenly, then hotels. Mortgage for half the price when you need cash.
  • Trade properties, cash and cards on your turn. No loans.
  • Can't pay, even after selling and mortgaging? You're bankrupt. Last player standing wins.
